August 15, 2012 – The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN),, recently announced that Tradition Energy received an award for their new contract for Energy Procurement and Management Consulting Services.

The TCPN award establishes a national contract that satisfies the needs of participating governmental and non-profit entities regarding energy procurement and management consulting services. This will enable agencies to purchase on an “as needed” basis from a competitively awarded contract.

Through Tradition, TCPN will now enable its members to procure the following commodities and services:

  • Demand Response (DR)
  • Energy Data Management/Budgeting/Reporting

The TCPN national contract is the newest addition to Tradition’s stable of government cooperative purchasing contracts. “Because so many government organizations have unique purchasing requirements, it’s useful to have multiple contract options available when contemplating energy decisions,” added Wooten. • Choice Facility Partners, the cooperative purchasing program of the Harris County Department of Education,
  • National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), Consulting and Professional Services contract,
